The Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning

Founded in 2000, the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning (CPLP) is an education and advocacy organization composed of nearly 100 individuals and community organizations dedicated to eliminating childhood lead poisoning in Monroe County.

Legal Services

Empire Justice Center

Empire Justice is a statewide, multi-issue, multi-strategy public interest law firm focused on changing the “systems” within which poor and low-income families live. With a focus on poverty law, Empire Justice undertakes research and training, acts as an informational clearinghouse, and provides litigation backup to local legal services programs and community-based organizations.  

Legal Aid Society of Rochester

The Legal Aid Society of Rochester is a not-for-profit organization that provides direct civil legal services, including law advocacy and related human services, to adults and children.

Legal Assistance of Western New York (LAWNY)

Legal Assistance of Western New York has provided free civil legal services to eligible clients in Western New York for more than 30 years.
